As an Author you should:

• send your manuscript in .DOC format, without indicating personal details in the file;
• report your institutional affiliation when uploading the proposal on the platform, together with the link to your Orcid profile;
• report bibliographic references in the form of footnotes according to the style rules indicated below;
• for the publication of graphs and tables, transmit the Excel file containing the original data so that these can be verified and the graphs, if necessary, reconstructed in line with the layout of the journal;
• report, for the publication of graphs and tables, a running informative caption, containing any legends.

Please avoid using the first person singular or plural when drafting your contributions.

Use of Chinese terms

To indicate the original Chinese version of a term mentioned in the body of the text, please proceed as follows: term in English (pinyin in italics, simplified Chinese characters). For example:

          New Silk Roads (xīn sīchóu zhī lù, 新丝绸之路).

At the second occurrence, do not include the pinyin and characters in parenthesis.

If a term is introduced directly in Chinese, please proceed as follows: [text in English] Chinese term in pinyin in italics (simplified characters, “translation into English ") [text in English]. For example:

        These routes, known as xīn sīchóu zhīlù (新丝绸之路, "new Silk Roads ") have no precise beginning...

At the second occurrence, it is unnecessary to include either the characters or their translation in parenthesis.

Proper names of places or people in Chinese should be expressed in pinyin and in Roman script (with the exception of Nanjing, Beijing, Chiang Kai-shek, Sun Yat-sen, etc.), but should not be followed by the format of the simplified characters. 

Punctuation, grammar and other style conventions
