Types of contributions

OrizzonteCina publishes contributions that are original, scientifically rigorous, and accessible. The Editorial Committee accepts proposals for contributions in two different ways:

  • proposals for contributions in response to a specific call for abstracts;
  • proposals for individual contributions on topics of interest to the journal.

Authors who wish to submit a manuscript are invited to carefully read the editorial rules indicated in the appropriate section.

We welcome the following types of articles:

Length: between 3,000 and 5,000 words in length, including abstracts (150 words in English), five keywords in English, footnotes, and, where relevant, figures, tables, and image captions.

Content: contributions in this section aim to translate and explore key terms and concepts of the Chinese political discourse through an analysis conducted on original texts and sources. These are essays on textual, linguistic, and sociolinguistic discourse analysis on a text (in Chinese) of clear relevance for the understanding of political thought and contemporary Chinese public discourse. The analysis of Chinese texts belonging to non-strictly political genres can also be included in this section, as long as they contribute to building the Chinese public discourse in the political and institutional sphere
