REVISED SUBMISSION FORMATTING CHECKLIST
Authors should check each item before submitting their revised article for copyediting
1. MAIN TEXT
☐ The full title and subtitle do not exceed 150 characters, including spaces.
☐ The title has a clear, precise scientific meaning. The title does not contain unnecessary punctuation (such as full stops, hyphen, bracket, semi-colons, etc.), and where possible, should be read as one concise sentence.
☐ The title can be abbreviated to a maximum of 50 characters, including spaces.
☐ The authors' first and last names are correct, their names are listed in full, and their order in the list has been checked and approved by all authors.
☐ Each author has a complete affiliation, described as follows: Department (or subunit), full name of the institution, city, zip code, and country.
☐ The corresponding author has an institutional email address corresponding to their institution's email address.
☐ Each author has their own email address.
2. IN-TEXT CITATIONS AND REFERENCES
☐ In-text citations are in APA style (e.g. Johnson et al., 2020).
☐ The references list entries are complete in APA style with DOI.
☐ References to published articles include, in order: the author list, year in parentheses, article title, journal abbreviation, volume, page range, and DOI.
☐ References to articles that have been published online include, in order: the author list, year in parentheses, article title, journal abbreviation, an online publication date, and DOI.
☐ References to preprints include, in order: the author list, year in parentheses, article title, server name, an online publication date, and DOI.
☐ References to books include, in order: the author list, year, title, publisher, and, where applicable, chapter, title editors, and DOI.
3. FIGURES E TABLES IN THE MAIN TEXT
☐ The Figures and Tables appearing in the main text do not exceed:
- 10 for Research articles
- 2 for Review articles
- 2 for Position papers
- 1 for Editorials
- 1 for Letters to Visions
☐ The Figures are numbered using Arabic numerals and uploaded individually in high resolution PNG, JPG, or TIFF format with a minimum di 300 dpi e 2000x1500 pixels.
☐ The captions for each of the Figures are prepared separately. Each caption begins with a title followed, where necessary, by a legend that gives the reader all the information required to understand the information contained.
☐ The Tables are numbered using Arabic numerals and uploaded individually in black and white editable MS Word format, with separate contents in single cells that form a grid, without line interruptions, merged cells, tabs to separate data, or shading.
☐ Each Table has a title and, where necessary, a legend.
☐ Each Table does not exceed 120 mm in width and 200 mm in height. (Any larger Tables will be saved as PDF files and published as appendices).
4. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
☐ Any use of AI-assisted technologies as aids for the research study or in the writing or presentation of the manuscript has been disclosed in the cover letter and in the acknowledgments section of the manuscript.
