Abstract

The rticle surveys Hemingway's Italian stories offering some new information and considerations on their genesis and relationships. Hemingway's change of mood towards Italy in the 1920s is discussed. The Appendix indexes the forty-nine stories and gives an overview of their themes and narrative techniques.
