The paper traces the stages and trajectory of food policy in the city of Turin, from its beginnings to recent developments. Initially, attention is paid to the three main
participatory processes that have built spaces for general discussion and consolidated a narrative trajectory on food in Turin. Subsequently, some issues of governance
and territorial nature that seem to have slowed down the process towards a local food policy are highlighted. Finally, attention is focused on the pandemic emergency
and the H2020 FUSILLI project, and critical points and perspectives related to the recent structuring of a local food policy in Turin are highlighted
