Una food policy federiciana: il Food Policy Hub di Andria

Abstract

Cities have become key players in the transformation of food systems. In Puglia, the city of Andria has launched a social innovation project that revolves around the Food Policy Hub. Through 4 phases that revolve around 5 strategic levers, the Hub aims to act as a pole of aggregation and comparison capable not only of accompanying and increasing the efficiency of the municipal administrative machinery on sustainable food issues, but also of promote important repercussions from an economic, environmental and educational point of view on the surrounding area, acting on various policies. The article aims to present the activities and potential of the Andria Food Policy Hub, reflecting at the same time on the obstacles that will need to be addressed to ensure effective implementation of the project.
