Abstract

In the past decades, the development of different theoretical frameworks has stimulated systematic empirical study on metaphors’ role in social, psychological, emotional phenomena, ascribing metaphors an unspecified, undetermined notion of ‘power’. The paper discusses the possible origins and implications of such notion, suggesting an alternative idea.

Nicola Zambon, Freie Universität Berlin

Ricercatore presso la Freie Universität di Berlino e Fellow del Forschungsinstitut für Philosophie di Hannover. Si è addottorato con una tesi su Hans Blumenberg, del cui Nachlass è curatore. Si occupa principalmente di fenomenologia, antropologia filosofica e retorica.
