Abstract

The aim of this essay is to verify to what degree is «weak thought» ready to push frailty in order to save and preserve individual freedom and truth. Through a discussion of the category of subject, the text examines Vattimo’s reflections on the individual, with reference to Girard’s and Schumpeter’s systemic analyses, claiming that Vattimo’s approach doesn’t recognize the risks of his emancipatory project.
