Abstract

Today, innovation is closely linked to collaboration. Co-design between professionals and amateurs fosters a new culture of participation, where innovation is perceived as an intersection of networks and connection nodes that reflect a decentralized and mobile reality. Thus, there is a need for fresh perspectives to reshape the constellation of interests within established systems. To this end, the article analyzes case studies such as the DesignNet projects to develop new methodologies. The study concludes with the Forms of Culture research project at MNCARS, discussing “disorientation strategies” that aim to dismantle prevailing hegemonic models. The next step is to explore new orientation systems to define alternative “cartographies,” focusing not on physical locations but rather on systems of relationships.
