El caso Graziosi y su Ulises caribeño: traducirse a la lengua madre

Abstract

Abstract: In this article, the author presents the recent novel by the Turin writer Antonio Graziosi Ulises en el Caribe (2019), to describe some of its main features and its affiliation with much of the twentieth-century Hispanic-American narrative and with the assumptions that shaped the categories of "real maravilloso" or "realismo mágico”. In addition, some of the characteristics of the translation into his mother tongue (Italian) that Graziosi himself carried out (Ulisse nel Caribe, 2020) are analyzed, taking into account different reflections on the practice of the literary auto-translation.
