Abstract

In 2022, the University of Warsaw reactivated the Faculty of Medicine. Closed after World

War II, it took 72 years to brought it back to the structure of the oldest university in Warsaw

and the largest in Poland. After the reactivation of medical teaching at the University, the

University of Warsaw Museum is working on an educational offer for the Faculty. During

the presentation, we will present several examples from Poland - education in medical

university museums, including: Museum of the Medical University of Warsaw, Museum of

the History of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Medical University of Białystok, Museum of

the Medical University of Gdańsk. On this basis, we will present proposals for educational

activities based on the academic heritage of the oldest university in Warsaw. The program

is scheduled to start this academic year. Employees of the Medical Faculty of the University

of Warsaw are also included in the "Welcome to the University of Warsaw" (Onboarding)

program, thanks to which they learn not only about the functioning of the university, but

also about its history and academic traditions – everything during the visit to University of

Warsaw Museum.
