Lineamenti per una filosofia della tecnica decostruttiva

Abstract

This article proposes to read technics through the figure of the chiasm that Derrida derives from the ambivalence of the pharmakon. Taken as a form rather than a theme, this figure is brought to bear along three axes – the supplement, iterability, and the nature/culture opposition – each of which dissolves one of the oppositions by which the tradition fixes technics in place: inside/outside, living/dead, natural/artificial. What emerges is a relational, non-substantial thinking of the origin, in which the poles do not pre-exist the crossing that articulates them but are retroactively co-produced within it. A rereading of the relation between first and second nature, pursued by way of Aristotle and Vattimo, brings out its broader stakes. The proposal closes reflexively, withdrawing from the chiasm itself any status as principle or method: not a theory of technics, but its lineaments.
