Antinomie del pudore: forme della comunicazione e forme del rapporto sociale

Abstract

My purpose in this paper is to discuss the relation between modesty and patterns of communication. I rely upon Bateson’s conception of “algorithms of heart” and Luhmann’s theory of social systems. Modesty is seen as a tool and a component of the processes of communication. Its relation with the conditions for creating more structured inter-personal relations is inquired.
