Abstract

Electoral democracy, which current democratic regimes administer excessively and which has been constrained within perverse procedures of binary options, is causing great harm. One of the most intriguing recipes that are being circulated is deliberative democracy with its revaluation of discussion and compromise. Antonio Floridia has devoted an important book to the reconstruction of the complex genealogy of deliberative theory. Might this be the remedy to the great malaise affecting democratic regimes?
