Abstract

Saturation draws the extreme line between the concepts of plenty and “too much.” For this reason, it cannot belong to God’s original creative plan. The divine work, which is based on love, implies a harmonic and balanced relationship between the Creator and the created beings, which saturation can jeopardize. As a matter of fact, saturation can easily become a symptom of injustice in many contexts of our life. After selecting a few examples of saturation in our present reality, the essay tries to depict the contribution that missionary work can offer in overcoming it and, by doing so, re-establishing a covenant relationship based on love and grounded on equality and justice.
