Abstract

The contribution discusses the «Theory of listening, for analysis and musical education» that Luca Marconi proposed in 2008. In particular, it starts from the dense summary figure that closes the essay to verify its generality and propose an extension that assumes it as a theory of listening as acting, capable of merging phenomenological and pragmatic aspects through the notion of the subject as a filter coupled to the environment. This feedback loop in Marconi's original proposal also allows us to highlight the variety, empirically detectable, of the different listening actions.
