Abstract

The purpose of this first study is to provide a broad overview of Iranian theater in three historical periods: the age of tradizions and rituals which were the first forms of theater, changes after the advent of Islam and finally effects of Constitutional Revolution and modernism. This process, lasting lasting for ages, is here summarized in a few pages.

Author Biography

Elmira Kazemimojaveri

Elmira Kazemimojaveri è nata a Tehran, Iran, nel 1987. Si è laureata in Fictional Literature nell’università di Tarbiat Moalem (Teacher Training University), a Tehran. Ha anche ottenuto un M.A in Dramatic literature all’Università di Arte di Tehran (Sooreh), con una tesi su Il radiodramma iraniano per bambini dal 1971 al 1985. Attuamente è al terzo anno di Ph.D. in Dramatic Literature presso il Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici dell’Università di Torino con una tesi dal titolo Teatro educativo: rafforzamento del ruolo del teatro educativo e sociale nel sistema formativo in Iran. In seguito ha concentrato le proprie ricerca sul teatro per bambini, il teatro e la drammaturgia nella formazione dei ragazzi e le tradizioni teatrali iraniane.
