Abstract

Beyond the paramount importance of their texts for the study of Eastern Aramaic grammar in Late Antiquity, incantation bowls are relevant evidence for the study of Mesopotamian history. In this short note, incantation bowls from Hatra and Biǧān island (Middle Euphrates) will be addressed in relation to both historical sources and archaeological finds.
