This paper presents several aspects of the Inscriptions of Libya (InsLib) project currently developed in France, Italy and Great Britain. It aims at publishing online with free access the inscriptions of ancient Libya and other resources related to them. The Italian-French team has the responsibility of the edition, in EpiDoc format, of both the Greek inscriptions of the pre-Roman period (IG Cyrenaica) and the verse-inscriptions of all periods (IG Cyrenaica Verse), as well as the related archival material and prosopography. After having explained the history and methodology of the project, each of the four authors clarifies a problem related to his/her own work. Author 1 explains the method chosen for gathering and classifying the bibliographical items. As the digital edition offers multilingual translations, Author 2 considers what kind of translation can be the most faithful and useful online for all types of users. Author 3 presents the project concerning the digitization of the squeezes of the inscriptions. Author 4 explains how he is currently completing the late André Laronde’s Prosopographia Cyrenaica which remains hitherto unpublished. He then outlines the methodology that should be used for launching it online and connecting it with other projects that are currently developed.
