In this paper, the collection of poems Para Mirta (sonetos barrocos), by Antonio Gala, has been placed in front of the captivating Sonetos del amor oscuro (1983), by Federico García Lorca, establishing between the two collections of more or less covert homoerotic poetry common motifs such as the gaze, the flower, the cross, madness, the flame, the wound, death, the night, the dagger or the witness and subsequently examining the refraction of the Lorca’s sonnet “El poeta habla por teléfono con el amor” in the Gala’s sonnet “A una ficha de teléfono”. Thus, the literary figures of Lorca and Gala have been compared and, finally, the influence of the poet from Granada on the lyrical writing of the poet from Córdoba has been demonstrated.
