El léxico del fútbol(ín) entre picadito y tiquitaca. Análisis del subtitulado intralingüístico de la película argentina Metegol

Abstract

This paper aims to analyse the original version and the subtitled peninsular Spanish version of the 3D animation feature Metegol (2013) by the Oscar winner and film director Juan José Campanella. Considering as a starting point the results achieved in a previous analysis, in which the original version in the Spanish variety of Argentina was compared with the dubbed peninsular Spanish and neutral Spanish versions (Author, 2021), the aim of this contribution is to identify how the strategies used in intralinguistic subtitling (Berruto, 2010; Pedersen, 2005) contribute to the achievement of a proper level of sociolinguistic adequacy. Furthermore, the present investigation also considers the function of some relevant elements from different perspectives of variation (diatopic, diaphasic and diastratic), the way these elements are interpreted and perceived by the receiving audience and the distinguishing features of this type of audiovisual translation.
