Peer Review Policy

All research articles submitted to the Journal of Approximation Software and the related software are first reviewed for completeness and only then sent to be assessed by an Editor who will decide whether they are suitable for peer review.

In case an Editor is one of the authors or has any competing interest regarding an article, another member of the Editorial Board will be chosen to oversee peer review.

The peer review process involves at least one independent, expert, anonymous peer reviewer.

At the end of the peer review process, the Editor decides whether or not to publish the submitted manuscript, considering the peer-reviewed reports. However, they are not bound by opinions or recommendations therein.

Authors receive peer review reports with the editorial decision on their manuscript.
