Abstract

Starting from the multifaceted figure of the flâneuse and drawing on the idea of cinema as an “atlas of emotions” suggested by Giuliana Bruno, this essay aims at discussing the body of work of the Italian filmmaker Marina Spada as an example of the mise-en-scène of a changing yet strong feminine identity, able to redefine the spaces it crosses according to a newly invented geography of feelings.
