La doppia redazione della Quinta Catilinaria e della Responsio Catilinae

The article compares two redactions of the Quinta Catilinaria and the Responsio Catilinae, which we have received respectively through cod. Reg, lat. 84 from the 12th century and various writings from the 15th century.
The author argues for the superiority of the first redaction R (more faithful to the original one) over the second, which consists of a large group of codices, whose content has deteriorated over time. Nevertheless, the latter actually contain more accurate passages than R, showing that they are in fact derived from a different and probably more correct original copy.
