Resistenza

Abstract

The theme of resistance, considered not only from a historical perspective but also in terms of its theoretical content, seems particularly relevant to the current situation. It encourages careful and active participation in the present, capable of transforming opposition to conditions of illiberality into projects of political sharing. No form of relationship is free from conflict, but resistance is the ability to turn tension into an element for building what is essential. Resistance is an ethical choice that involves the whole person. It takes place over time and throughout history, but in the name of something that is capable of escaping consumption. Ultimately, it is a commitment to the achievement of truly universal values, i.e. values that can be applied inclusively to everyone.
