Abstract

The local protection of the Right to food is crucial in order to fulfill this right and to build a “Right to food oriented” Urban food policy. The Turin City Council introduces under § 2 of the City Regulation (Statuto) the acknowledgement of the Right to adequate food. This local act describes the main features of a “Right to food oriented” Urban food policy: Public-private partnership approach, Citizen-tailored local policies, Cross-disciplinary activity.
