As Gods Among Men: some final considerations

Abstract
It is certainly a great honour to be asked to write a brief final comment on a collection of articles focusing on my own book, As Gods Among Men. A History of the Rich in the West. All the authors highlight aspects of the complex history of the rich that I could certainly have developed better. Of course, there is also space for disagreement or, more precisely, for some differences in interpretation and perspective, but it would be rather sterile to provide a lengthy and point-by-point discussion. Instead, I will highlight only a few points, using them as an opportunity for further reflection.
