L’iscrizione latina CIL XI, 4310 da Interamna Nahars, vista nel 1879 da Eugen Bormann a Terni e finora ritenuta dispersa, si conserva in realtà a Gardone Riviera (BS), presso il Vittoriale degli Italiani. L’articolo ricostruisce le vicende storiche che portarono il monumento epigrafico a essere trasferito da Terni all’ultima dimora del poeta Gabriele d’Annunzio.
The Latin inscription CIL XI, 4310 from Interamna Nahars, which had been seen in 1879 by Eugen Bormann in Terni and thought lost so far, is now held in Gardone Riviera (BS), at the Vittoriale degli Italiani. This article offers information about the transfer of this inscription to the final home and resting place of the Italian poet Gabriele d’Annunzio.
