Abstract

L’articolo propone un riesame delle fonti letterarie ed epigrafiche relative ad Augusta Taurinorum e all’assoggettamento delle Alpi Cozie al fine di tentare una datazione più precisa della fondazione della colonia pedemontana e un’analisi dell’organizzazione del territorio circostante.

 

The article presents a new study of literary and epigraphic sources on Augusta Taurinorum and the subjection of Alpes Cottiae aimed at the definition of a precise dating of the foundation of the colony and at the analysis of the local territorial organization.
