In the year of Archon Achaios, the Athenians voted a decree for a Theophilos of Pergamon, philos of the King Eumenes II. This provision is recorded on a stele along with another decree voted for an A..L- son of Theophilos of Pergamon, whose exact chronology is unknown due to the fracture of the stele.
This paper aims to propose a new dating hypothesis of this document (IG II3 1, 1270), based on an analysis of the text. Considering this chronology, it will be possible to formulate new hypotheses regarding the identity of the two honorees and, with the help of other sources, to propose a new reconstruction of their family tree.
