Inside a screen: towards a Leibnizian social ontology

Keywords: Covid 19, social distancing, Leibniz, monad, identity of the indiscernibles, analytic truths

Abstract

In this article I put forward an interpretation of the situation created by the Covid-19 pandemic. I interpret it as the emergence of a new social ontology. This ontology can be understood as the realization of some of Leibniz’s metaphysical doctrines, namely those that have as their object the theory of substance, the identity of indiscernibles, and the theory of truth.
