Del juego al desajuste: caminos de ida y vuelta en La caracola de Graciela Batticuore

Resumen

El presente trabajo analiza la novela La caracola (2021) de la escritora italo-argentina Graciela Batticuore, segunda entrega de una trilogía que empieza con la novela Marea (2019). Cruzando la perspectiva antropológica (Douglas 1979) y filosófica (Francalanci, 2006) sobre el valor de los objetos con el enfoque psicoanalítico acerca de la niñez (Winnicot, 1969 y 1970; Bollas, 2009), el análisis se centrará en el papel performativo que objetos de uso común adquieren dentro de los juegos de infancia practicados por la protagonista, devenidos metáforas transicionales (Winnicot, 1969) de la fractura migratoria actualizada en la dinámica ritual del juego. El foco atenderá a dos elementos: el alfiler que se clava en el cuerpo de las muñecas jugando al doctor se vuelve representación simbólica de una herida sin cura posible, y la silla donde se balancea en el umbral de la casa, la oscilación entre dos orillas -geográficas, lingüísticas y simbólicas- que caracterizan la dinámica migratoria.

This paper considers the novel La caracola (2021) by the Italian-Argentine writer Graciela Batticuore, the second part of a trilogy that begins with the novel Marea (2019). Crossing the anthropological perspective on the value of objects (Douglas, 1979) and philosophical one (Francalanci, 2006) with the psychoanalytic focus on childhood (Winnicott, 1969 and 1970; Bollas, 2009), the analysis will focus on the performative role that objects of common use acquire in the childhood games practiced by the protagonist, since they become transitional metaphors (Winnicott, 1969) of the constantly updated migratory fracture in the ritual dynamics of the game. In particular, the pin that the protagonist sticks into the body of her dolls playing doctor becomes a symbolic representation of a wound that is impossible to heal, and the chair where the girl sways on the gate threshold stages the oscillation between the two shores ‒geographical, linguistic and symbolic‒ that characterizes the migratory dynamics.
