Abstract

This essay rebuilds Nicola Tranfaglia’s first historical study focusing on the formation of Carlo Rosselli and family side. The essay critically reviews Tranfaglia’s analysis of Rosselli’s participation in the “democratic war”, his engagement in economic studies and his reworking of the weak democratic tradition facing the emergence of fascist totalitarianism.
