Abstract

This special issue of the Rivista di Storia dell’Università di Torino presents the proceedings of the conference Claudio Napoleoni: Politica, Economia, Filosofia, held in Rome on 18 September 2024 under the patronage of the Senate of the Republic and the Chamber of Deputies. This Introduction outlines Claudio Napoleoni’s biographical and scholarly profile, with particular attention to the years of his teaching in Economic and Financial Policy at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Turin (1971-1976). It also examines specific aspects of Napoleoni’s intellectual trajectory and scholarly work, highlighting the inseparable link between economic theory and political action that characterizes his thought.
