Please send your submission to submissions.jlmi@iuse.it

After passing a first evaluation by the managing board, all articles are subject to a double-blind peer-review process by independent, anonymous expert reviewers. The unique exceptions to double-blind peer-review are the foreword and the innovation letter contributions, which are subject to single-blind peer-review (see authors' guidelines).

Please note that by submitting your paper to the JLMI you are agreeing to originality checks during the peer-review and production processes.

There are no submission fees, publication fees or page charges for this journal.

Authors are required to disclose if they have already submitted their article elsewhere, both in case of negative and pending reviews.

The journal is divided in the following sections:

Foreword

The "Foreword" section of our journal serves as a pivotal introduction to each issue, setting the tone and providing context for the content that follows. This section is not open to submissions from the general public; contributions are strictly by invitation only. The "Foreword" is crafted by the editors, who draw upon their extensive expertise to offer insightful commentary, highlight key themes, and underscore the significance of the featured research. Unlike other sections of our journal, the "Foreword" does not undergo peer review. As an editorial piece, it reflects the considered perspectives and overarching vision of our editorial team. This ensures a coherent and authoritative voice, guiding readers through the issue's thematic landscape and emphasizing critical developments in the field. Despite not being peer-reviewed, the "Foreword" is an integral part of our publication and is indexed accordingly. Each editorial foreword is assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), enhancing its visibility and ensuring it is properly referenced in academic discourse. This indexing underscores the value of the editorial insights and provides a permanent record that can be cited by researchers and scholars.

Innovation Letter

The "Innovation Letters" section of our journal is a curated platform dedicated to highlighting pioneering research and novel insights within our field. The content published in "Innovation Letters" represents the cutting edge of research, featuring work from leading experts and emerging scholars with significant contributions to share. All manuscripts undergo a rigorous peer review process to maintain the highest standards of academic excellence. We employ a double-blind review system, where both the identities of the reviewers and the authors are kept confidential. This approach minimizes bias and ensures an objective assessment of the work based on its merit, methodology, and contribution to the field. Furthermore, all articles published in "Innovation Letters" are indexed and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). This facilitates their discoverability and citation, providing authors with the recognition and visibility that their groundbreaking work deserves.

Special section

The "Special" section of our journal is dedicated to exploring in-depth topics that align with the specific thematic calls for papers of each issue. This section is designed to address timely and significant themes within our field, providing a focused forum for scholarly discourse and research. Submissions to the "Special" section are open to all researchers and practitioners whose work aligns with the announced theme of the particular issue. We encourage contributions that offer innovative perspectives, rigorous analyses, and substantive advancements on the selected theme. This thematic focus allows for a comprehensive exploration of critical issues, fostering a deeper understanding and stimulating further research and discussion. To ensure the highest standards of academic quality, all submissions to the "Special" section undergo a rigorous peer review process. We utilize a double-blind review system, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential. This approach ensures that the evaluation of manuscripts is impartial and based purely on scholarly merit and relevance to the theme. Moreover, all articles accepted and published in the "Special" section are indexed and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). This practice enhances the visibility, accessibility, and citation of the research, ensuring that contributions receive the recognition they deserve within the academic community.

General section

The "General" section of our journal provides an inclusive platform for a broad array of scholarly contributions that do not necessarily align with the thematic call for papers of specific issues. This section is open to submissions from all researchers and practitioners, welcoming diverse perspectives and topics within the journal's overarching focus. Submissions to the "General" section are invited from a wide range of disciplines and methodologies, encouraging the exploration of innovative ideas and the presentation of novel research findings. This openness ensures that important work, which may not fit within the specific themes of our issues, still has a venue for publication and dissemination. To uphold the integrity and quality of the journal, all submissions to the "General" section undergo a stringent peer review process. We employ a double-blind review system, wherein both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed. This process ensures that evaluations are based solely on the content and merit of the submissions, fostering fairness and objectivity. Furthermore, all accepted articles in the "General" section are indexed and assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). This practice enhances the discoverability and citation of the work, providing authors with the academic recognition and impact they deserve.
