Abstract

Through a transversal reading of Michel Foucault’s corpus, this article investigates the marginal, yet meaningful role played by Surrealism in his reflections on modern writing practices. By contextualizing and comparing the various remarks made by the philosopher over several decades, it brings to light an ambivalent dialogue with André Breton and the movement he led.
