Assessing the impact of sustianable tourism on poverty reduction and social inclusion in Bamiyan
Abstract
Sustainable tourism development in regions like Bamiyan necessitates a comprehensive approach that addresses environmental, cultural, and socio-economic aspects of sustainability. Despite witnessing a promising influx of tourists in recent years, Bamiyan faces sustainability challenges that must be tackled to ensure long-term viability. This study investigates the impact of sustainable mountain tourism in poverty reduction and social inclusion in Bamiyan through a descriptive-analytical method and cluster sampling strategy, focusing on the attitudes of tourism stakeholders and beneficiaries towards sustainability practices. The findings reveal a significant contribution of tourism practices to poverty reduction and social inclusion.
