GISI-JIHI LogoThis issue of our Journal contains two different thematic parts, put side by side by reason of their historical and theoretical approach open to such dynamic ideas as transformation and pluridisciplinary discourses. The first is dedicated to the topic of the call we launched on Hybridization in the history of ideas; the second was proposed to us by a research group of young scholars on the anthropocene and geoanthropology, in which the historical research feeds into theoretical reflection of strong contemporary relevance in an innovative way. To underline the thread that connects this large issue, we duplicated also the book reviews, to have a group of reviews closely related to one of the two special issues. In the General Section readers can find contributions submitted independently of thematic programming. The interdisciplinary vocation of our journal remains true to the valorization of both thematic issues and articles expressing different and innovative researches.
