Abstract

The article describes the economical crisis of 1929 in relation to the Kuhle Wampe. Oder: wem gehört die Welt? and offers therewith fundamental information for a better insight to the film. The accurate description of the film contrasts elements of crisis with depicting of revolutionary elements.

Sergio Ariotti, Dramatist

Sergio Ariotti is journalist at the cultural editorial section of the Regional Television in Piemonte, he is artistic director of the international theatre festival “Festival delle Colline Torinesi” and teaches history of cinema at the Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale in Vercelli.
